Escape to Bear Lake: An Educational Adventure by Bus

September 5, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

$20 - $40

Bear Lake, a popular and beautiful destination within Rocky Mountain National Park, affords visitors a spectacular view of a high mountain lake with peaks of the Continental Divide as the scenic backdrop. A professional educational guide will provide interesting history, both cultural and natural, and lead folks on a short walk through the subalpine on mostly even, paved terrain. The driving portion of this tour will provide an overview of the Bear Lake corridor including the geology of Moraine Park, the natural history of the subalpine life zone and a chance to view wildlife, such as moose, along the shores of Sprague Lake. This area is a definite highlight of any trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and shouldn’t be missed! Entrance into Rocky Mountain National Park is included in the fee for this tour.
