Denver Rescue Mission kicks off this Season of Giving

As publisher for Denver Parent, I was excited to join the Denver Toyota Dealers Association as they donated enough non-perishable food to feed more than 6,200 people (that’s over 100,000 meals which will be directly affected by the donation) through the Denver Rescue Mission.

Both the Denver Toyota Dealers Association President, Deck Hughes and the Denver Rescue Mission President and CEO, Brad Meuli joined us on a chilly morning.

It was great to deliver a trunk full of groceries my kids helped me pick out the day before – it’s amazing how far a $100 donation will go. My kids had fun going through the store choosing non-perishable food that would go the farthest to help a family in need.

And we got to test out a 2017 Prius Prime – which is a great car! We loved that it was so eco and pocketbook friendly! (and it was an awesome color!)

If you’re not familiar with them, last year Denver Rescue Mission provided 927,000 meals to poor and hungry men, women and children in the community.
