Enjoying Date Night overnight in the mountains

My girlfriend, odd terminology at my age, was out of town for my birthday. She had wanted to get away for a night at a romantic location, together. She had used Denver Date Night to plan an evening out when we were first dating and decided to use the service again for our romantic overnight.

We were booked for an overnight at Devil’s Thumb Ranch outside of Tabernash, CO. I don’t know how the folks at Denver Date Night managed to arrange a spring snow storm for our mountain get away, but it was the perfect touch!

My favorite part of the stay was sitting in the outdoor hot tub while the snow was covering the ranch like a soft, comfortable blanket.

We were all alone. Peaceful. Serene. Relaxed. We soaked in the warm water and the picturesque landscape for an eternity, actually until dinner time, but it felt like an eternity.

Dinner was outstanding! We were waited on by the same pleasant young lady we saw at lunch, she recommended the pot pie for dinner and it did not disappoint. Desert was also delicious, I had a blackberry something or other. After dinner we headed back to our room for the romantic part of our getaway. The room featured a gigantic, luxurious, ridiculously comfortable bed! We fell asleep, what else are you going to do in a bed like that, and come on this is a family friendly blog. We woke up to a mountain scene straight off of a post card.

Devil’s Thumb Ranch provided the setting for a fantastic getaway. The staff was top notch, the accommodations were top notch, the food was top notch, the snow storm was serendipitous, and top notch. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a night, or two, away.
I can’t say enough good things about our experiences with the folks at Denver Date Night. They have set up a couple of very memorable nights for us. I think next time we book something with them I’m going to request a mountain bungalow with a rainstorm that clears into a crystal clear night of stargazing, I mean after arranging the snow storm for us I pretty sure they can do anything! Give them a try, you won’t be sorry.
