Steampunk and more this summer at the Colorado Railroad Museum

If you haven’t been out to the Colorado Railroad Museum lately, there’s something for every age group. With over 100 narrow and standard gauge steam and diesel locomotives, passenger cars, cabooses HO Model Railroad and G-scale garden railway a 15-acre railyard.

There is a great exhibit titled “Eating on the Rails: A Look at Dining on Railroads” where they explore the impact of Butcher Boys, Pullman cars, Fred Harvey and Dining cars on American culture.

Catch a ride behind one of the Museum’s diesel locomotives in passenger cars from different eras in Colorado railroad history or on one of the unique “Galloping Goose” Motorcars. Rides operate 10:00AM to 4:00PM.

This weekend, Saturday June 18th is Steampunk at the Station where science fiction meets the 19th century Industrial Age as the steam engines provide the perfect backdrop for this cultural phenomenon found in clothing, art, lifestyle and music.

Daytime Event: 10:00AM – 5:00PM • After-Hours Concert: 6:30 – 9:00PM

The Museum will close at 5:00PM and will reopen at 5:30PM for the concert.
