It’s “Open Season” (4) on Campfire Safety

Elliot and Boog are back in this fourth installment in the Open Season film series!   Elliot’s campfire story about the legend of the Wailing Wampus Werewolf scares Boog so much that he decides to skip their annual camping trip. Deciding to help Boog get rid of his fears, Elliot and their friends set out to uncover the mystery of the werewolf.

This new movie is packed with laughs and heart and a good lesson.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) and Sony Pictures Animation have joined forces with the Ad Council, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Association of State Foresters, the National Forest Foundation (NFF) and the boog&elliotBoys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) to help raise awareness for Smokey Bear’s national wildfire prevention campaign, using #SmokeyBearHug.

Kids at the Boys and Girls Club in Commerce City got to meet and get big bear hugs from Smokey the Bear and Boog & smokeyElliot.  The visiting Ranger gave a rousing talk on campfire safety teaching youth from the Boys and Girls Club of America how to safely build, manage and put out a campfire.

Plus, for every Boys & Girls Club youth member participating, SPHE will donate a tree to be planted by the National Forest Foundation (NFF) to replace those lost during natural disasters such as wildfires, and insect and disease outbreaks.
