Old School gaming for the entire family

arcade1Hyperspace is an authentic 1980s-themed arcade located in Denver on Colfax not far from Casa Bonita on 1601 Reed Street in Lakewood .

They have an amazing lineup of classic favorites, like Asteroids, Tempest, and Frogger and my personal favorite Missile Command. Keep their list bookmarked to see if your favorite game arrives (they rotate them all the time).  If arcade games are brand new to you, step back in time to a world of quarter games, Tab soda, and Journey on the jukebox.

The arcade is owned by Xyla Duval and her father. According to an interview on 9news.com, Duval says she was inspired to open the arcade after growing up in Las Vegas in the ’80s and frequently visiting old-school arcades with her parents.

You don’t have to worry about rolls of quarters at the arcade, it’s just $10 for a full day, all you can play arcade experience. There are also monthly passes for the true video game addict.

The arcade is closed Mondays and is regularly open from 4pm until midnight except for Friday and Saturday when it’s open until 2am.

They don’t serve alcohol and have snacks and sodas, so it’s kid-friendly, but kids need to be accompanied by an adult.
