They still use the same cheddar cheese recipe, now over 100 years old. And frankly it’s the best cheese you can get on the grocery store shelf. Worth every penny in taste and the satisfaction that it’s a good product. Their medium cheese slices are handy and still maintain that awesome Tillamook tast!
In celebration of National Burger Month and especially national burger day (today!) we made our favorite cheeseburgers and are sharing the recipe with you.
- 1 1/2 lbs Hamburger
- 2/3 C. Breadcrumbs
- 1/3 C Sour Cream
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- dash of chile powder
- Mix the hamburger with the breadcrumbs, sour cream, spices garlic and beaten egg.
- Form into desired size patties. Cook on grill – top with Tillamook Cheese slices in the last few minutes so they melt and then serve on your favorite bun!
