Denver Parent was created as a face to face toddler playgroup in 2002 – based in the Historic Highlands Area of Denver we made lots of friends and connected with other parents – traditional and non-traditional.
From there it turned into a yahoo group and then a Google group where parents continued to network and share parenting ideas.
With the increased popularity in blogging, Denver Parent hit the blogging scene in October of 2010 determined to be a place to find like-minded parents in Denver – whether male, female, single parent, or single sex parenting families, Denver Parent wanted to be your resource for information.
Since then we’ve increased to a number of regular writers and some fabulous Guest Posts from the Denver area.
We keep our readers informed about local performances, family travel, area happenings and interesting controversial issues the affect parents in the Denver metro area. We also highlight area charities that either focus on or can be helped by area parent groups.
