Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month – Guinness Record Lessons

Join in at your local resort this Friday on January 8th to learn how to ski and snowboard in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest ski and snowboard event ever.  This event is designed to encourage beginners to get out on their local mountains and discover a sport that can seem intimidating when you are not already doing it. lssm

There is a lot of incentive for everyone to get outside this Friday for this record breaking attempt with some lessons and rentals as low as $10 for each participant. See your local resort for their deal. Winter Park is $39 for 2.5 hour lesson including rental and lift ticket (regularly $139 to $199) and is the closest resort offering any deal to the Denver metro area.

Go to Learn to Ski and Snowboard to learn more about the #firstdayfaces hashtag as well as the Bring a Friend Challenge in the industry’s attempt to open up this sport to beginners to enjoy their mountain areas.

Now is the time to check your local resorts for deals. See what programs they have for very young kids, some offer free and greatly discounted packages. And Epic has a kids program reaching most local resorts.
