Truly the “Greatest Show on Earth”.

I’m a skeptic at heart, and a tagline like “The Greatest Show on Earth” just smacks of over-promising and under-delivering, but I have to say after last night, that’s one tagline I believe in.

Wow. Just Wow!

Over the past couple of years, in my capacity as Denver Parent editor, I’ve gotten to see some fantastic shows, but Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey “Fully Charged” is one that not only lived up to expectations, but exceeded them.

If you go, and I highly recommend you do, be sure to go early to the Ringling Bros.® Animal Open House, it opens 90 minutes before show time, is FREE to all ticket holders. What a fabulous opportunity to see all the animals. Parking is free and so if you come early you can avoid traffic and find a great spot.  The handy experts there told us all about their commitment to animal conservation and if you go, there are kiosks to give you information about their animals.

On top of that, I can’t recommend enough going to the All Access Power Up Pre-show Party! It starts an hour before the show and the performers are up close and personal and you can stand right next to the rings and see some performances that are NOT in the show. The kids LOVED trying on the costumes and made friends with their favorite clown – you can tell these guys really love what they do, the atmosphere is fun and energetic! Again, this is all free with the purchase of the ticket!

And all of that was before the show started! Wow! (I know, I’m gushing!)

The show is amazing – stunts that frankly had me hiding my head and wondering how those performers Mother’s felt! The high-wire act was my families favorite and the animal acts were amazing. Our kids loved the clowns tho, laugh and laughing at their antics!

All of this is amazingly affordable. The most expensive being the front row “circus celebrity” tickets – those people actually got to sit ON THE FLOOR during some of the show. Amazing. Expensive, but worth it.

However go the budget route and you won’t be disappointed, remember you get the two per-shows before and seats high up would actually be fantastic at this event. Parking is free and with my discount below your kids can get in for $10 each!

I don’t often as highly hype something as I do this event, but seriously, go! It was pretty much the highlight of our events so far this year – and that’s saying something!

  1. Thanks for the preshow info, I never knew that and it sounds like it helps make the evening super special. Great photos. I also love the free parking. Rare these days for events and I feel it can detour you from going if you know you need to spend extra money to simply park your car long enough for you to enjoy the venue. Not so family friendly. Wouldn’t they rather have a full house? Oh and thanks for the discount code!

  2. I loved it, too!!!!

  3. Agreed! In this case the superlatives are deserved. Great write-up!
