“School Stories” – a new Denver Parent series

I’ve been working on this for a while (ask all my Mile High Mama friends!) and so today when this article came out, I decided it was finally time to launch our new series.

Oddly, the hardest part was what to call the feature, “School Stories” is a simple, but effective way of describing what I hope will be a useful series of articles for parents getting ready to send their kids off to school and parents who are thinking about making changes. Whether they exercised their “choice”, decided to home school or spent the money on private school or simply chose to send their child to their neighborhood school.

So, what are “School Stories” – think of “Baby Stories” or “Wedding Stories” – wouldn’t you like to read and vicariously experience the trials and tribulations that other parents have gone through choosing which school to put their children in? Or changing schools when things “went wrong” or changing schools because your child was faced with new problems?

Worried how you’ll start? Don’t fret, I have a list of questions to help you draft your “story” – you can stick strictly to the provided format or improvise and tell it your own way!

Interested? Please email me and I’ll get you more information and put you on the schedule!

My “story” is going to be first! So, look for it next Thursday

I’d love to read about other parents that deal with split homes. I know we aren’t the only family. In my 2nd grader’s class of 18, there are 11 or 12 children who have spilt homes. Quite a ratio!
